Creating Scenes

Learn how to add, edit, and organize scenes in your storyboard.

Starting your storyboard

When you open Storyboard mode for the first time, you have two options:

Option 1: Use Mito Director

Let AI generate scenes from your script:

  1. Drag a script or text from your assets (or your computer) onto the Mito Director area
  2. Mito Director analyzes the text and creates scenes automatically
  3. Each scene gets a narrative and suggested duration

This is the fastest way to break down a script into storyboard scenes.

Option 2: Start from scratch

Create scenes manually:

  1. Click Start from Scratch
  2. Three blank scenes are created for you
  3. Add more scenes as needed

Adding scenes

Click Add Scene in the top action bar to add a new scene at the end.

  4. The column appears in table view

You can rename, resize, reorder, or delete custom columns at any time.

Tips

  • Use short, descriptive names for scenes
  • Set realistic durations based on your narrative
  • Add visual references early to guide video generation
  • Use custom columns to track things like location, characters, or notes
