Production

Beta Feature

Production is currently in BETA. Features and interface may change as we continue to improve the experience.

Production is where you assemble your final video using a timeline-based editor. Bring together video clips, audio tracks, and music to create your finished piece with professional editing tools.

What is Production?

Production provides a non-linear editing environment where you can:

  • Arrange video clips on a timeline
  • Add and manage audio tracks and background music
  • Apply color corrections with adjustment layers
  • Create smooth connections with transitions
  • Trim and split clips with precision
  • Mix multi-track audio automatically
  • Export your finished video in high quality
  • Fine-tune timing and pacing

How it fits in your workflow

Mito has three work modes:

  1. Pre-Production (Canvas) — Gather references and build moodboards
  2. Storyboard — Plan scenes and generate video takes
  3. Production — Assemble your final video ←

Production is the final stage where your generated video takes come together into a cohesive, polished piece.

Key concepts

Timeline

The timeline is the core of the Production editor. It displays your video and audio elements horizontally, showing how they play over time. You can:

  • Drag elements to reposition them
  • Trim edges to adjust duration
  • Stack multiple audio tracks for rich sound mixing
  • Add adjustment layers for color correction
  • Insert transitions between clips

Playhead

The playhead is the vertical line that indicates the current playback position. Use it to:

  • Navigate through your video
  • Set the position for splitting clips
  • Preview your edit at any point
  • Position effects and transitions

Tracks

Tracks are horizontal lanes that hold your media:

  • Video track — Your main video content
  • Audio tracks — Dialogue, sound effects, music layers (multiple tracks supported)
  • Adjustment tracks — Color correction and visual effects layers

Elements

Elements are the individual clips and effects on your timeline:

  • Video elements from your storyboard takes
  • Audio elements including music and sound
  • Adjustment layers for non-destructive color correction
  • Transitions for smooth clip connections
