  2. Look for "Referral" in the sidebar — It has a gift icon with "Earn 3000" badge

Your referral page shows:

  • Total credits earned from successful referrals
  • Your unique referral link to copy and share
  • Social sharing buttons for quick posting
  • Step-by-step explanation of how the program works

Format: app.mito.ai/?ref=YOUR_CODE

Strategic Referral Sharing

Target the Right People

Ideal referrals:

  • Video creators and content marketers
  • Creative professionals (designers, filmmakers, marketers)
  • Small business owners who create their own content
  • Social media managers who need quick creative assets
  • Freelancers looking for efficient creative workflows

Share at the Right Time

When to share your link:

  • After creating something impressive with Mito
  • When friends ask about creative tools you use
  • In conversations about content creation challenges
  • When networking at creative industry events
  • After someone compliments your creative work

Add Personal Context

Instead of: "Here's my referral link"

Try: "I've been using Mito for my video projects and it's incredible how fast I can go from idea to finished content. You get 1500 free credits when you sign up with my link if you want to try it: [link]"

Timing and Credit Flow

When Credits Are Earned

Your friend's experience:

  1. Clicks your referral link
  2. Signs up for Mito account
  3. Receives 1,500 credits immediately
  4. Starts creating with free credits
  5. Later subscribes to a paid plan for more features

Your credit earning:

  • You earn 3,000 credits only when they subscribe to a paid plan
  • No time limit — they can subscribe months later and you still earn credits
  • Credits appear automatically in your workspace balance
  • No notification sent (credits appear silently)

Why the Timing Works

Benefits for your friends:

  • Try Mito with substantial free credits first
  • Decide to subscribe based on value they experience
  • No pressure to pay immediately

Benefits for you:

  • Earn credits from friends who truly find value in Mito
  • Higher conversion rate than immediate payment requirements
  • Sustainable system that rewards successful referrals

Tracking Your Success

Referral Dashboard

Total earned credits:

  • Running total of all credits from successful referrals
  • Updates automatically when friends subscribe
  • Includes credits from both direct referrals and shared assets

Current limitations:

  • No detailed breakdown of individual referrals
  • No pending referral tracking
  • No notification when credits are earned

Checking Your Impact

See your influence:

  • Credits earned = Number of friends who subscribed × 3,000
  • Example: 15,000 total credits = 5 friends who became paying users
  • Your network growth through successful Mito introductions

📊 Future enhancements: Detailed referral tracking and notifications are planned for future updates.

Maximizing Your Earnings

Quality Over Quantity

Focus on fit:

  • Share with people who actually need creative tools
  • Explain specific Mito benefits relevant to their work
  • Help them understand how Mito solves their challenges

Follow Up Thoughtfully

After sharing:

  • Check in occasionally to see if they tried Mito
  • Offer to help with their first projects if interested
  • Share your own Mito creations to show possibilities

Combine with Asset Sharing

Double your impact:

  • Share your creative work publicly with referral codes included
  • Direct referrals discover your portfolio through shared assets
  • Asset shares reach new audiences beyond your immediate network

Common Questions

"My friend signed up but I haven't earned credits yet"

Most common reason: They haven't subscribed to a paid plan yet.

Remember:

  • You earn credits only after subscription, not signup
  • They got their 1,500 credits immediately when they registered
  • You'll get your 3,000 credits when they eventually upgrade

Test your link:

  1. Copy your full referral URL
  2. Open in a private/incognito browser window
  3. Should see Mito signup page with ?ref=YOUR_CODE in URL

Link format check:

  • Must include ?ref= parameter
  • Should start with https://app.mito.ai/?ref=
  • Code should match what's shown in your referral dashboard

"Can I share multiple referral codes?"

One code per workspace:

  • Each workspace has its own unique referral code
  • Credits go to the workspace where the link was generated
  • Use the workspace where you want to earn credits

Best practice: Use your main workspace's referral code for consistency.
