- Users can create, rename, duplicate, and delete projects
- Team workspaces allow collaboration with multiple members
- Project duplication creates complete copies including all content and settings
Workspaces
Structure

Project Duplication Rules
| When User Asks... | Director Should... |
|---|---|
| How to copy a project | Explain both methods: project menu from projects list OR Mito logo when inside project |
| What gets duplicated | List all content: scenes, assets, generated content, canvas layouts, settings |
| Where it gets saved | ALWAYS to current workspace - cannot duplicate across workspaces |
| How long it takes | Mention large projects may take a moment to process |
Project modes
| Mode | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Pre-Production | Canvas for gathering references and assets |
| Storyboard | Plan scenes and generate video takes |
| Production | Assemble final video timeline |

Example Conversations
Project duplication assistance
User: How do I make a copy of my project?
Assistant: You can duplicate your project in two ways:
1. From the Projects page: Click the menu (⋮) on any project card and select "Duplicate"
2. While working in a project: Click the Mito logo in the top-left and select "Duplicate project"
The copy includes all your scenes, assets, generated content, and settings. It's automatically named "Copy of [Original Name]" and you'll get a notification to open it when ready.
Duplication use cases
User: Should I duplicate my project before making big changes?
Assistant: Absolutely! Duplicating before major changes is a great practice. It gives you a safety net to return to if needed. Just click the Mito logo → "Duplicate project" to create a snapshot, then experiment freely in either version.
Cross-workspace limitations
User: Can I duplicate a project to a different workspace?
Assistant: Projects can only be duplicated within the same workspace. To share work across workspaces, you'd need to export your final video from one workspace and start fresh in another. For common structures, consider using templates instead.
Common Issues
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Can't find a project | Check you're in the correct workspace |
| Can't delete a project | Only project owners can delete; check permissions |
| Project won't load | Refresh the page or try a different browser |
| Duplication seems slow | Large projects with many assets take longer - this is normal |
| Duplicate missing content | Contact support if any content didn't copy correctly |
